| MISSION STATEMENT | |
NCA is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO), founded in the rural area of Chabtine situated in the upper Caza of Batroun, Lebanon. NCA has been registered at the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities (MoIM) since January 21st, 2004. NCA is also enrolled in the list of NGOs registered at the Ministry of Environment. NCA
came into existence to actively participate in the harmonious creation
of rural communities and promote individuals' inherent rights to
equal access to and control of available resources necessary for
a dignified life. NCA seeks sustainable solutions to long-term
problems of poverty and environmental degradation, with special
emphasis on the needs of rural communities in mountainous and other
resource-poor areas. Priority is given to integrated approaches
that are environmentally sound, community-based, participatory and
innovative, and reinforce civil society and respect local culture.
